Addis Abeba, October 25/2021 – The Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) on Sunday launched airstrikes on the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) military bases in the Maitsebri and Adwa towns of Tigray, the Government Communication Affairs Service announced.

Legesse Tulu (PhD), head of the Government Communication Affairs Service, confirmed to Addis Standard that Almeda Textile factory was one of yesterday’s targets in Tigray. “We found out that Almeda has been manufacturing military uniforms resembling Ethiopian and Eritrean military uniforms,” he said. Legesse also told Reuters yesterday that the target in Maitsebri is an arms depot and a military training center, which was disputed by the TPLF spokesperson Getachew Reda who said the air strike hit near a local hospital in MaiTsebri.

The Government Communication Affairs Service said that air strikes were launched on military training and manpower facilities located in the Maitsebri area. The communication affairs service added, “The area around Adwa which produces enemy military equipment and uniforms, has been destroyed by airstrikes.” AS
